Rav’s Adventures in Blunderland

Rav’s Adventures in Blunderland Vidyasagar Mundroy (with due apologies to Lewis Carroll)                           "You are old, Mr. Rav, " the young man said,                                     " And your hair has become very white;                         And yet you don't tell the one crore truth -                                     Do you think, at your level, it is right?"            ...

The Little Big Doubts

THE LITTLE BIG DOUBTS Vidyasagar Mundroy         Somebody said "Begin with doubts and you end with certainties".       But, no doubt it's uncertain whether or not I can find answers       To the number of questions restless in the recesses of my mind.       Yet, let me pour them out first, lest they eat me like acid.         To marry or not to marry? That is a question.       Why live and what for? That is another question.       Who am I and why am I here? That is one more question.       What is everything and why does it exist? That is yet another question.         Thought for days till there is no place for thoughts.       Read thousands of pages till there are no more pages left. ...

The Inside

The Inside Vidyasagar Mundroy      What a lively zoo unlike books with life-less animals! Can’t touch them; or they bite us unlike those in the books. Chirpy chattering birds, swinging monkeys, roaring lions And many more objets d’art creatures for one and all.   Visiting the zoo again; now I can see inside. I see not a zoo but a jail of little souls forlorn. Suppressed, teased and confined to cells Forever by their masters through no fault of them.   I hear cacophony of birds; not their melodies. I see listless monkeys; not their swift swings. I find slumbering lions; not their majestic roars. Deprived of their rights awaiting freedom; a dream.   Suffering in silence for days and nights For the joy of people who can’t see inside. Yet, no complaints, no protests and no violence. Oh God! Have mercy. Break their shackles forever.
